The Acting Chief Justice, His Lordship Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has appointed Mr. Musah Ahmed as the Judicial Secretary of the Judicial Service of Ghana.

This appointment is made in accordance with Article 148 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 12 of the Judicial Service Act, 2020 (Act 1057).

Mr. Ahmed is a lawyer with over 26 years of legal practice, specializing in admiralty and maritime law, ship arrests, banking law, and other related areas. He is the Managing Partner at Ahmed Legal Consult.

He succeeds Her Ladyship Cyra Pamela Koranteng, who stepped down from the position in April this year.

As Judicial Secretary, Mr. Ahmed will be responsible for, among other duties, the day-to-day administration of the Judicial Service, and will be answerable to the Chief Justice. He will also perform any other functions as may be assigned by the Chief Justice.
