According to prosecutors, the case arose after police reviewed a video circulating on Facebook in which the accused allegedly called on some young people to go to Daddy Lumba’s residence with pickaxes.
Counselor Lutterodt has been granted bail after appearing before the Adenta Circuit Court over comments in a viral video linked to the late highlife musician Daddy Lumba.
The media personality, whose full name is Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, pleaded not guilty to a charge of offensive conduct conducive to a breach of the peace.
The court admitted him to bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with two justified sureties.
According to prosecutors, the case arose after police reviewed a video circulating on Facebook in which the accused allegedly called on some young people to go to Daddy Lumba’s residence with pickaxes.
The prosecution said the video was shared on Kwesi TV on Monday, 9 March 2026.
In the footage, he was alleged to have urged some youth, believed to be Ga residents, to go to the late musician’s house to search for where the body had supposedly been buried.
Police told the court that the video triggered his arrest.
Prosecutors also said that, during the course of investigations, another video emerged showing a group of young men said to be Ga residents gathering at the late musician’s residence.
Lutterodt, who the prosecution identified as a biomedical clinical engineer living at SSNIT Flats in Adenta, Accra, is currently facing a single charge.
