The ongoing defamation case between actress Martha Ankomah and actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has been adjourned to May 14, 2025.

The High Court in Accra has urged Lilwin to sign the terms of their settlement after concerns were raised about the delay in finalizing the agreement.

The case, initially set for settlement by April 1, 2025, was delayed due to Lilwin's failure to sign the settlement terms. On April 14, 2025, Martha’s lawyer, Nii Appiatu Plange, informed the court that they had submitted the agreed terms to Lilwin’s lawyers in March but had received no response.

Lilwin’s representative, Jalila Sumaila, attributed the delay to the illness of Lilwin's legal counsel, Margeret Adjei-Twum. She requested another adjournment to allow for the signing of the settlement documents. However, Martha’s lawyer warned that if Lilwin did not sign the terms by the next court date, the matter would proceed.

Martha Ankomah is seeking GHc5 million in damages for defamation due to public comments made by Lilwin.
