Kenya: Policeman shoots magistrate in court
The policeman was allegedly enraged by the court's decision to revoke his wife's bail.

A senior police officer has shot and injured a Kenyan magistrate during an open court session in Nairobi.
The chief inspector opened fire on Principal Magistrate Monica Kivuti of Makadara Court immediately after she made a ruling.
The case reportedly involved the officer's wife.
The policeman was allegedly enraged by the court's decision to revoke his wife's bail.
In response to the shooting, other officers in the courtroom quickly reacted, with one shooting and killing the offending officer.
Three other officers were also injured in the incident, according to a police report.
Both the magistrate and the injured officers are currently receiving medical treatment.
The judiciary explained that the magistrate had revoked bail for a defendant who had previously jumped bail and failed to provide satisfactory reasons for doing so.
The judiciary is continuing its investigation into the incident and has pledged to improve security measures to ensure the safety of judicial staff and court users.
