Parliament to resume sitting October 21
A statement issued by the Office of the Speaker and personally signed by Mr. Bagbin indicated that the sitting date has been fixed in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament will officially convene on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in Parliament House, Accra.
A statement issued by the Office of the Speaker and personally signed by Mr. Bagbin indicated that the sitting date has been fixed in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
The notice follows an earlier communication dated October 6, 2025, which deferred the initial commencement of the meeting due to circumstances beyond the Speaker’s control.
Members of Parliament are expected to return from recess to deliberate on critical national business, including the consideration of pending bills, key motions, and government policy statements that were left outstanding from the previous meeting.
The Third Meeting marks the continuation of legislative work under the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, as the House prepares to tackle a heavy agenda leading into the final quarter of the legislative year.
