President Mahama receives Article 146 Committee recommendation on first petition against suspended CJ
The five-member committee, constituted by President Mahama in line with Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution, was chaired by Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang
President John Dramani Mahama has officially received the report of the first petition of the Article 146 Committee of Inquiry established to investigate petitions calling for the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo.
The five-member committee, constituted by President Mahama in line with Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution, was chaired by Justice Gabriel Scott Pwamang.
President John Dramani Mahama is now expected to carefully review the committee’s findings before making a final determination. In line with the 1992 Constitution, the President’s decision will be formally communicated to the public once concluded
