Police arrest six over land dispute that led to stabbing of 23-year-old

The Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested six persons for their involvement in a land and chieftaincy dispute, which left one person dead.

“At about 7:00 am when two factions met on a family land where a struggle ensued. During the altercation, the deceased known as Kwame Yeboah, aged 23, was allegedly stabbed to death by Kwadjo Brefo, who is among the suspects arrested,” the statement said.
Suspect Kwadjo Brefo and one other are said to have sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the hospital under a police guard.
The police also said it has increased security presence in the area, and that they are “in full control of the situation.”
