Police arrests one suspect in connection with the shooting of soldier at Kasoa

The Ghana Police Service has arrested one suspect in connection with the shooting of a soldier at Kasoa Millenium City.
A statement by the service notes that its preliminary investigation has established that the suspect, Bernard Ababio, allegedly shot the soldier on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at about 4:20 pm.
According to the statement, the victim sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Kasoa for medical attention but was later pronounced dead.
The suspect is currently in custody, assisting with the investigation.
The statement further notes that the Service is in touch with the leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces as investigation into the incident continues.
