The High Court has adjourned to May 13, 2024, a case involving a man accused of robbing the wife of a former Vice President, Matilda Yaaba Amissah Arthur, and others.

This was occasioned by a plea by the accused counsel, Paul Asibi Abariga in order to study properly, documents filed by the prosecution before moving the bail application.

On April 17, the accused, Yahuza Osumanu, was charged on 26 counts, which comprised of 20 counts of robbery and six counts of money laundering.

He has subsequently pleaded not guilty and been remanded by the court.

On May 2, the court, presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo, was expected to hear a motion for bail but counsel Paul Assibi Abariga noted that he had been served some documents by the prosecution and that needed to look closely at it before he presents his arguments for bail.

He thus asked for an adjournment for his side to come back and respond appropriately.

As such, the court adjourned to May 13, 2024.
