Legal vacation: Courts in Greater Accra to conduct only virtual hearings

The Chief Justice, His Lordship Kwasi Anin Yeboah has directed that vacation courts in the Greater Accra Region should conduct only virtual hearings via Microsoft Teams.

This directive comes as the courts would be embarking on the annual long vacation for the legal year, beginning August to September 2022.

Some of the courts sitting during the legal vacation include the Criminal Court 5, the Financial and Economic Court 2, Commercial Court 1, and 7, Human Rights Court 2, Divorce and Matrimonial Court 3, High Court B (Tema), High Court 1 (Adenta), High Court, Sowutuom, among others.

Additionally, the Virtual Court Committee would from July 27 to 28, 2022, hold training sessions to educate lawyers, on the use of Microsoft Teams.

According to a notice cited by Dennislaw News, the training is to enhance optimum usage of the application for the virtual hearings.
