Naziha Gombilla Amin: First student to chalk First Class Honours at UPSA Law School

Gombilla Amin graduated with an FCGPA of 3.72 which is indeed a covetous feat to reach in one’s academic life in a University and also in no mean program but Law.

Over the last weekend, the UPSA had a congregation for its 2022 graduating class from the various fields of study at the University.

As usual, the graduands were conferred degrees in their fields ranging from First-Class Honors to Pass.

It is worth noting also that history was made and a record set at the same congregation, when a graduand from the Faculty of Law, Naziha Gombilla Amin was adjudged the best from her group.

As if that was enough, Gombilla also walked out of the University with her chest high up in the sky, bearing the title not just as the valedictorian but as the first student to have obtained first-class honors since the inception of the program at the University.

Gombilla Amin graduated with an FCGPA of 3.72 which is indeed a covetous feat to reach in one’s academic life in a University and also in no mean program but Law.

In all, 140 students graduated from the Law Faculty with one student obtaining First Class, 70 Second Class Upper, 53 Second Class Lower, 65 Third Class and 14 had pass.

Meet Naziha Gombilla Amin

Naziha; a former student of the Accra Girls High School, hails from Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana.

She entered the University of Professional Studies, Accra in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Her excellent oratory skills which she developed from participation in moot court competitions make her a strong advocate.

In 2021, she represented the UPSA Law School at the Law Challenge Competition where she put up a spectacular performance.

Naziha is a student mentor and has mentored and tutored many students at the UPSA Law School, and her name is now a household name within the school.

Naziha is very analytical, goal-oriented, and proactive. She aspires to be an International Energy law expert, a Lecturer, and a guru in the fashion industry.
